MediaCom holds Audio DayFollowing the recent appearance of Duran Duran, MediaCom is gaining quite a reputation as a celebrity hangout, this week welcoming international sportsmen Darren Gough and Stan Collymore to their company bar. The pair fielded questions from the agency as part of MediaCom’s first Audio Day – 24 hours dedicated to understanding the importance of sound in people’s lives, and how advertisers can use audio platforms more effectively as part of their campaigns.
Stacey Pratt, Head of Radio Branded Content, said ‘We focused the day on a variety of themes that demonstrate how best to use audio opportunities as part of innovative advertising campaigns. We’ve explored the strengths of Radio Branded Content, and how the relaxation of Ofcom rules allows radio to go the extra mile in delivering advertising messages. Radio has always provided a warm and credible endorsement but the changes free up stations to support brands on a deeper level. We should thank all of our speakers for helping to make today such a resounding success” The star studded event carried on into the evening reception, which featured music from Xfm DJ Dan O’Connell and a special acoustic performance from Kids In Glass Houses organised by Kerrang Radio.
